I don't know when he went out to Newfoundland but he married there in 1851 . His wife was Susannah Malzard born 1828 Bulls Cove NF. Together they had 8 children most of whom were born at Whale Cove Burin NF. John , Susannah and 7 of the children left NF in the late 1860's and came to Dorset. One child born 1855 did not come to England with them. I assume she must have died in NF but I cannot be certain as there seems to be no records of deaths in NF prior to 1892. John died 1879 on Brownsea Island Dorset where he was a blacksmith. Susannah re-married in 1888 and died 1899. The 7 children married , had families , and spread all over the area. The youngest of the family was my great-grandfather.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08496361829617307492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6286625402897573722.post-25108585199732037282019-11-18T05:38:28.670-08:002019-11-18T05:38:28.670-08:00My paternal Great, Great, Great Grandfather, John ...My paternal Great, Great, Great Grandfather, John Kendall (c1812 - 1880s), emigrated from the village of Marnhull, Dorset to the south coast of Newfoundland as an employee of Newman and Company, sometime likely during the 1830s (his first son Robert was born in Furby's Cove, Hermitage Bay, in 1839). John, his wife Sarah (?) and their young family moved to West Point-Lapoile and later to Ramea, Nfld. during the 1840s where the rest of his children were born and where he lived out the remainder of his life. All of the Ramea Kendall's are descendant of John Kendall. Would love to be able to pick up the genealogy of John Kendall in Dorsetshire; his actual date of birth, his parents, siblings and grandparents, when he came out to Nfld., possibly even the name of the ship he sailed on.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02031571191170195380noreply@blogger.com
